Amazing radio Prices at Rm Auction in Anaheim
Long Beach Vets dealer Deborah Fletcher was so impressed with the amount of money R.M. Auctions got for their vintage radios at a recent auction that if she ever had anything to sell, she would go to them.”It was amazing because they got unbelievable prices from people who bid on radios,” she said. Radios that started at $50 were bid up to $1,050.Fletcher is talking about RM Auctions sale of The Astor Collection, which was held at the Astor Classics Event Center in Anaheim June 27th-29th.Radios were only a minor player in the auction, since RM focuses on vintage and classic automobiles. Deco cars took top dollar. Top lots included a 1938 Cadillac V16 Convertible Coupe that sped off with $616,000, and a 1933 Chrysler CL Imperial Sport Phaeton by LeBaron rolled away with $462,000.
